I was lucky enough to get this umbrella (in red) the day before it rained so I got to try bit out right away. first of all, it's not red like their online photo; it's a darker, more muted red, like dried blood red. The Teflon coating is great. just a few shakes after you close it automatically with the push button on the handle, and you can safely flip the umbrella under your arm if necessary. I'm not expecting this tiny umbrella to hold up to strong wind gusts like we get here in NYC, but we'll see. The handle is short (under 3") and has a hard, rubber-like feel with small dimples. it feels good to the touch. The entire umbrella is 11" long, which is 4" shorter than the junk umbrella I just tossed out; Same opening size of 37" diameter too. The junk umbrella I tossed was lighter, but who cares. This has a quality look and feel, well worth the price tag. I'm going to order another one on their online store and hopefully can use the 40% off coupon code they sent me once I signed up for their free Repel VIP Club. The umbrella comes with a Lifetime Warranty.
