There are four rubber non-slip pads on the bottom as well as two fold-out black tabs for added stability. I appreciated the review that reminded to point the little guy down as there is no spray guard cup. This is my first boy and those tips are sanity savers! We have an oblong seat and it fits fine. I plan to use it at home as well as out of the house. Its compact size is great for small bathrooms. I plan to follow the advice of putting a seat liner down beneath the seat while in public while keeping sanitizing wipes handy.
