This is the best hummingbird feeder I've ever owned since 1967. I now have three. No leaks, easiest to clean, the ant trap really works, and great price. I'm buying more for next season and to give as gifts. I don't use the enclosed "nectar" though. It's not necessary. Use four tablespoons sugar to one cup warm water. No coloring needed or necessary. Fill the feeder no more than half full. You can get leaks from any feeder if you fill it to maximum. If you do get any hummingbird feeder this is important information to know and religiously abide by. 1. You MUST every three days refill with NEW solution. Solution left longer will ferment and cause injury to hummingbirds. Do not reuse any solution. It's cheap — throw it out. 2. You MUST throughly clean your feeder each time before you refill. I use hot water and a bristle brush, no soap. You need to clean from top to bottom even though your solution doesn't reach the top. Sugar solutions will mold rapidly and if you see black mold there's unseen mold waiting. If you won't do those two simple steps, you don't need a hummingbird feeder and will harm, not help. Fourtunately, this model is the easiest to clean of any hummingbird feed I ever seen. Don't forget to clean around the bee guards. Forget the fancy hummingbird feeders that cost many dollars, leak, and are impossible to throughly clean. You don't need them. For ten bucks you can get the best feeder and the awe-inspiring creations that are hummingbirds.
