I remember when it was announced that Harry & Meghan were getting married. How great I thought, that a smart, talented, divorced woman (of mixed race) was marrying the affable, much loved Prince. Seemed like his happy ending. She'd be a great asset to the Family. Then it all went to crap. Why? Well as this book points out, Meghan wasn't so much in it for the Prince, but for the fame & money. She'd schemed & hustled & used people her whole life to get herself to the point where she targeted, researched & carefully played dimwitted, affable Harry. Meghan didn't research what The Royal Family does well enough though. She thought it' would be all tiaras & fancy balls. She didn't realize its shaking hands of average people at Hospital openings, schools, libraries etc. That's NOT what she signed on for! So it all went to Heck in a Handbasket & she took her Prince & went home to LA. If you are a Meghan fan, don't read this book unless you want to see that your idol has feet of clay. For those of us, who wondered why, "it all went so bad" it's a good read.
