This oven raises the bar, in performance, and versatility.
This oven adjusts the power continuously, to keep the temperature exactly right. Other ovens (all of them, as far as I know) cycle between on and off, to keep the temperature about right, but the temperature overshoots quite dramatically, I've seen up to 100 degrees variation from the set temperature. This oven is much better, by staying at one temperature, this cooks food faster, without burning, or drying out. This oven has many other good features, but I would buy it just for it's far superior temperature control.
Another great feature, I haven't seen anywhere else, is that you can adjust the power to the top and bottom heating elements, independently, in 10% increments. I use this a lot to heat one side of the food (e.g. heat from the bottom, to slightly brown the bottom of a tortilla, flip it over, add cheese, on top. The cheese, melts without burning, and the other side of the tortilla, now on the bottom, gets slightly browned).
I much prefer this oven over my previous Breville (that died after about 4 years).
This oven has some features, that are complicated to use, I figured them out, but don't use them (e.g. setting several stages of cooking). They don't get in the way of it's basic function.
I don't see any major faults with this over (which is unusual, I usually don't like several things about almost everything). Surprisingly, toasting bread is a little tricky, although it can be done. The preset for "toast" doesn't work very well.
The temperature probe works well, to turn off the oven when the food reaches a preset temperature. It would be nice if it continued to report the temp, after the oven shuts off (minor complaint).
This oven is a nice size too, big enough for my 9x13 muffin pan.
They claim this oven is an "air fryer". It's not. However, it is by far, the best convection toaster oven, on the market, as far as I can tell (and I've done a lot of research).
