Life Changing
THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. It sounds like i'm over exaggerating but this really was life changing. I first learned about the menstrual cups a year ago, i'm pretty sure from Amazon (i was probably purchasing a bulk order of tampons and saw this in related items) and kind of laughed at the idea because it seemed so taboo and unsanitary. OH BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I have my period every 3 weeks instead of every 4. Which SUCKS by the way!! Also my periods are extremely heavy. During the heaviest time of my cycle, i bleed through a super tampon every 45 minutes and if i laugh, cough or sneeze, blood clots push past my tampon and goes all over my panties, drenching me in blood. There are many mornings where i wake up laying in a pool of blood. I bring a whole box of tampons and a whole box of pantie liners with me to work during this time. I purchased this on Amazon Prime in hopes to stop spending so much money on tampons. This product exceeded my expectations. I'd like to share my experience and what i like about this so that i can hopefully help another person out who deals with the same issues as me or someone who just wants to stop using toxic tampons! In order to insert the cup, you fold it in half which is called a "C-Fold". This C'folded cup resembles the size of a tampon. Just spread the lips and guide the cup up your yoni (vagina, vajay, sacred place, whatever you call it) The silicon then opens (expands), which prevents any blood from passing the silicone brim (if inserted properly) A tampon will carry about 8g of blood. This heavy flow Lena cup will carry an OUNCE of blood (that's 28 grams or 30mL) Menstrual cups can be left in up to 12 hours and only needs to be emptied 2-3 per day. I put the clean cup in in the morning and forget about my period until i come home and empty it, no mess at all! Plus no risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome since there's no absorption. And no wet tampon string, heyyyy The Lena Cup works like a suction cup. So not only has it kept all of the blood up there, when it's time to pull the cup out I feel the gentle suction, which pulls all of the remaining blood that's lingering, into the cup and ready to pour in the toilet. Way better than a tampon, which you have to hover your body over the toilet in order to not get blood on anything before putting a new tampon in. I can keep track of the amount of blood loss. There's probably more things about this that i love, but this cup alone has allowed me to enjoy my week. Usually where i'm miserable and uncomfortable, i feel really really good. I feel clean, i feel healthy, and i have more time on my hands
