Although I haven't had this filter for long, three features are notable in contrast to the other (poorly-working) faucet-mount filters I've used. First, the fitting to the faucet is all metal--it's less likely to crack and spray everywhere as others have. Second, the switch pops back after the water shuts off so you aren't wasting your filter the next time you turn the faucet on to wash your hands. Finally, the water flows into the actual filter and then directly out. Other filters accumulate gunk in the parts that water flows through after exiting the actual filter, and those parts are often hard to clean. This Culligan design means that anything growing or accumulating on the exit point from the filter gets thrown away when you get a replacement. It's a huge improvement.
