I really did save $$ the first time I used it.
Had to read the instructions to connect to my car and iPhone. This unit connects to either iPhone or Android via WiFi (NOT Bluetooth), so I had to connect to my iPhone 5 thru the WiFi settings on my iPhone first, then connected thru the OBD Fusion App to my car. Once everything was connected, I was able to see why I was getting a check engine light, and the code for it. I was able to track down the offending part and have the dealer send me the part, which took about 5 minutes to replace. I paid $20 for the Foseal scan tool, and $10 for the OBD Fusion App for my iPhone 5, but I figured I saved at least $70 by not having to drive to the car dealer and have them diagnose and replace the part, which would've easily been $100 labor plus the mileage. As a bonus, this unit will work on my other two vehicles, plus those of my friends and family. There is a free app that that came with the instructions for this unit that you can download, but after reading other reviews, I understand that if you want to DO anything useful with that app, you have to buy those options. I downloaded OBD Fusion for $9.99 from the App Store, and with it, I can see EVERYTHING, including real-time data (RPM, engine temp, etc), and the error codes, which I can clear out from the vehicle through the app.
