I always sort my reviews by usefulness and was amazed to see a one-star review complaining about it being "dangerously slippery". He complained about the lack of drain holes in the seat base. Let me say first that it is FULL of S shaped drain holes. I don't know if they changed the design or the reviewer was mistaken about which product he was reviewing. Luckily I bought it before reading that review. I was on the Amazon site checking previous orders and realized that I forgot to review this excellent chair. This is the best shower chair that we have ever owned, period. Since my wife has been disabled for decades, that has meant lots of shower chairs. All of the previous ones had aluminum legs which bent easily, especially if you settled into the chair abruptly or set it on an uneven or curved surface. I bought this chair after my recent medical issues because I needed one that could support my lard butt. It makes all those previous chairs look like jokes. It is EXTREMELY sturdy and easy to assemble. The rounded screw-to-adjust feet make it sit with stability no matter how close you place it to tub edges. You can easily adjust the height and the chair back actually sturdily supports you if you lean on it. We have never felt so safe and secure taking a shower before. One other reviewer down-rated it because of price. I try not to include pricing in my judgments because they are subject to change. His quoted price was too high by twenty bucks. If you buy this, you won't regret it.
