My wife has what I, as her husband, would consider a vacuum problem. We have had a lot of them... She has had other stick vacuum models from other manufacturers like Shark or Dyson, and yet this one is the one she approves of most. The batter is the same one used on other cordless Black and Decker/Craftsman tools, so we already had spare batteries here that she could use. The vacuum itself has good suction and light on the head of the brush. This allows her to see fur that has been shed by my dog much easier. I also have 2 daughters in addition to my wife, so there is no shortage of hairs they have pulled out from brushing, etc. I don't know why they aren't bald to be honest. So yes, this vacuum is fine with hair. The price is right, and it does what it is designed to do. My wife appears, for now, to be very satisfied with this particular model. Heck, she even recommended it to others. I know that won't mean much to anyone who doesn't know her, but it is actually high praise. She has also had a lot of experience with all kinds of vacuums. Yeah, my life is a little strange.
