I was a little reluctant to order this product, as most of the reviews are from dog owners... will my CAT tolerate the noise and vibration??? I took a chance and discovered that at least in my case the answer is YES! After a few sessions of getting the cat accustomed to the sound and vibration, nail trimming went well. He really seems to enjoy "kitty massages" where I run the tool body over his fur, and will jump onto my lap when I turn the tool on! To reduce the vibration, I use the slow speed and have purchased some finer grit bands. 240 grit seems to be a good compromise for more fragile cat claws. One humorous side note, I must put the tool away in a drawer when I am finished as he has learned to turn it on with his teeth and will play with it as some sort of "high tech" cat toy!
