The only reason that I feel like this doesn't get a solid five stars is because it is soooo hard to clean. I'll be honest here, we make popcorn almost nightly and this thing is amazing. I love that the top acts as a bowl, but we honestly never use that feature. I'll break it down into some pros and cons, so you can make an informed decision, but really, I can't imagine a better popper. Mess comes with the territory. Pros: Built in bowl Oil popper, not air Fast! Melting oil takes less than a minute and then popcorn takes one to two. Healthier than microwave popcorn The top can be washed in the dishwasher (I would only recommend top rack and don't know if this is recommended by the manufacturer) Compatible with all kinds of kernels Stackable to take up less storage space (but, let's face it, this thing lives on my counter) Cons: The only way to clean the main potion is by wiping it clean. This is great, until you take into consideration all of the little grooves that salt and oil get stuck in. This is honestly the ONLY bad thing that I can think of. The magic ratio is as follow (for anybody interested): 1/4 c. kernels, 1/4 tsp. fine salt, 1 Tbsp. Coconut oil. Do yourself a favor and get some good kernels too. Do some research and have better-than-theater popcorn at home!
