This item works well for slimming the waist. The item I received had adjustable and removable shoulder straps, a thong bottom strap that can be unhooked and adjusted to 3 positions. The sizing chart said 2XL was the right one for my 34" waist and it fit me perfectly, it was not difficult to put on, but really held in my tummy. The material does not breathe very well, and the shoulder straps seemed to pop off fairly easily, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. The before\after photo is taken in a tight fitting top to show the effect.
