Have used it once with 12 trays for venison jerky (wet marinade). Got this one to replace an older version (still works after about 10 yrs) that had a bottom fan but only went to 145 F. Wanted hotter temperatures to kill any bacteria that might be there. This unit takes about the same amount of time to dry a load of jerky (about 10 hrs). Only complaint I have is that the new trays are flimsy and I already cracked a couple of the grids during cleaning. The old trays (same size) were better made and heavier.
