UPDATE - Following my previous review of this scale, Nicewell Customer Support contacted me and arranged to send me a new scale. The batteries are still of the brand GP, but they seem to work better so far. The company's customer service is very satisfying. I highly recommend you to give this scale a try. A soft touch of the ON/OFF button switches it ON or OFF. The scale is very light and has a sleek design. The numbers on the bright display are easily seen during the day and at night. What I like best is that few parts are made of plastic, something I try to avoid as much as possible. I received my new scale a few days ago. It came with two new GP batteries. When I used it yesterday, the numbers kept changing. I weighed different objects and got different results with every object. I even compared the results with another scale and realized that the results were off by a lot. I thought something was seriously wrong with my new scale. I decided to remove the GP batteries and replaced them with Energizer batteries. Problem solved!!! Good reliable batteries can save your day!
