We have two sets of sheets from Ashton Sheets, and will never go to another brand. They are thick and soft as expected. We also purchased a cheaper set from Thread Spread, described as, 1000-Thread-Count 100% Egyptian Cotton, Single Ply Long-Staple Yarns, Sateen Weave" and they were really thin in comparison. The price is about 2/3 of what Ashton Sheets charges but I rather pay the extra 1/3 to get thick, quality sheets. It's just really hard to tell which sheets are thick when they all say the same things.
