Let me start with a few quick facts. I'm 5'7 and weigh over 200 lbs. I had knee surgery and this chair is perfect for me. I found out about this chair at the rehab facility. They had a smaller chair but as soon as I sat in this one I knew it was for me. If you are a smaller person you can definitely get a smaller chair. The chair has 2 handles but I didn't use them. I highly recommend you get a long shower hose. I think mine is 5 or 6 feet. You can then sit comfortably and wash your hair. After a couple of uses I realized it was little low and bothering my knee. Then I remembered. I could adjust the leg height. I raised it 3 notches and now it's perfect.
