Karen McQuestion, the author of “The Moonlight Child” has written a captivating, intense, intriguing, and memorable novel. The genres for this novel are Fiction, Mystery, and Suspense. The timeline for this story is set in the present and goes to the past when it pertains to the characters or events in the story. The author describes her dramatic characters as complex and complicated. There are some deep dangerous secrets, threats, consequences, and problems. I appreciate the vivid descriptions of clues, plot, characters, and events that Karen McQuestion writes. Do you really think you know your neighbor? This reminds me of when I lived in another house, at another time, and I had wonderful neighbors. My neighbors knew everything that was going on in our house, and no one told them. At times I wondered if they were psychic. In “The Moonlight Child”, Sharon, an older woman realizes something is very strange at her neighbor’s house and is convinced that she has seen a small child. The neighbors, the Flemings claim they have only a teenage son. Sharon is not quite sure what to do, until Niki, a former foster child arrives to stay with Sharon for a while, on Sharon’s daughter’s recommendation. Niki starts to notice some peculiar activities as well. The unprofessional duo is determined to find out what is going on, at any cost, or danger. I would highly recommend this intense, and thought-provoking novel.
