These pens are a really nice metallic blend with opaque color. It's not too over-metallic-y. I like the shine that it gives. What I'm trying to say is the metallic pens are really well balanced in my opinion. I'm very happy with the assortment of colors and how they show up on paper. The in stays pretty true in the paper tests I have swatched and posted here. You can write with these like you would with a normal pen, and of course doodle. One of the things I like best about these is the opacity of the pens, and that they somehow managed to make them vivid, but in a metallic-y way. The package of pens that I received write smoothly, don't feather, and the ink comes out perfectly.
