Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This is my first review ever on Amazon. I'm just simply too busy and never wanted to do it before, but after writing the author I decided its high time I voiced my opinion. I really liked these first three books, I'm not a grammar queen, nor do I diagram sentences in my spare time. I do have a short attention span, and I get bored with books quite easily. So I was happy that this "free" book series was actually good and I wanted to keep reading the series. The characters were strong, the story line is good, and the ONLY problem I really had with this.......was that the next seven books are $4.99 each for around 250 pages. While the author doesn't feel as though this is price gouging, I do. NOW, I will say that these books 1-3 are clean, which means mostly clean language, and no detailed sex scenes. I would of let my 16 year old read these. I would say the ages of these books should be 14 and up, simply because of some drinking (book 3) some non detailed sex(book 3) and some violence(all). There is a scene in book 2 that should be classified as a sexual assault, but its not graphic. He is very talented with words, where you get the idea of what is going on, without the graphic details. It's about a two sentence assault. If these books were cheaper OR more pages per book, I feel that this author would be better known. Is it worth being free? Definitely. Would I have bought books 4-10 if I agreed with the price. Most certainly!! I mean one book is 154 pages and still $4.99. The author says that his reviews reflect that the books are worth the price, I'm sorry it's an amazing story, but I won't pay that price. These should really be around 4-5 books with a reasonable amount of pages. Then they would be worth the price.
