This is a very well written, well translated Story of an American girl from Wisconsin, who marries well four times. The book starts off with the story of her great grandfather and grandfather and their immigration to America. The All American pioneer story of making something from nothing and being in the right place at the right time and making the most of everything. Allene’s father was the youngest child of her grandfather and didn’t marry as well, nor did he have the financial connectionS his brother did. He moved to Wisconsin and that is where the story of Allene begins. Enjoyable and definitely one of my favorite Kindle First books.
