Amazon rejected this review once because they accused of bad deed. Let me give some context. I am a private investigator and an independent journalist. Noting I did with this camera was illegal or nefarious therefore this review is not breaking any rules. I spent a lot of time using this product and this was my unbiased opinion and recommendation based on my experience with this device! I was blown away by this camera’s versatility and its incredibly sturdy design. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. I tested this camera in some extreme conditions that it wasn't designed for and it worked very well. It held up in both high and low temperatures with no problems. I don’t advise trying this but, it was accidentally dropped into a water fountain. Luckily, I was able to recover it quickly, shut it off and remove the SD card. I let it dry for 24 hours expecting it to be dead, but both the camera and SD card were fine. It was tested with 10 different brands and makes of 128Gb SDXC Micro SD cards. It worked with every brand card that I installed in it including Samsung, SanDisk, PNY, Gigastone, Kingston, Adata and Lexar brands. I tested it only with the Pro+, Extreme, Elite and/or Evo+ versions of SDXC Micro SD cards. The reason I tested it with so many different brands was to help you guys know for sure that whichever one you pick, that if I listed it here it worked fine. I am not recommending a brand just telling you which ones worked for me. I loved the location of the Micro SD card slot directly above the USB connector which are protected by a cap. The audio recording could have had a little better range, but a better mic would be hard to fit inside the device. Being able to switch between audio and video recording was a huge bonus. It had exceptional battery life for the polymer Lithium 550mAH battery installed in it. I was able to get around 2 1/2 hours of 1080p video recording out of this battery. The audio recording doesn't use nearly as much charge so it'll last a lot longer. I recharged the camera over 200 times in the course of the month I tested it and didn't notice any battery degradation yet. It recorded in both 720p and 1080p resolutions flawlessly. It did well in low light environments also. My only issue with this camera was the placement of the LED light. Its current location could unintentionally expose the device to the subject you are legally recording or interviewing. The LED should be somewhere out of sight. Even in its current location it would be difficult for the subject to notice due to the LED being dim. I believe it was designed to use a lower brightness LED for that very reason. The subject would have to be standing over you for them to notice it happened to blink for any reason i.e. low battery. This was one of the best spy cameras I have ever used in its price range. It might seem a little plain on the outside, but it is supposed to. Overall this camera performed admirably for the month I tested prior to writing this review. ** Again, this was used for private investigation and only in single party consent states. Everything in this review was perfectly legal. I genuinely was amazed by this and felt compelled to write this review and fight for it. This doesn't in ANY way violate Amazons guidelines.
