Update: after months of use, once or twice a week, I have to say this product is AWESOME! Based on the price I paid (49.99 or 59.99 on sale) it is an excellent value and works perfectly every time! Keep reading for my initial review. I read the prior reviews and definitely you need to take heed of the warnings about plastic odor. It is not an issue if you: wash the grate and tray before use, and then run a 15-20 minute cycle with no food in it (outside!) using the cleaned parts. There will probably be a plastic/burning plastic smell. Run another cycle to be sure the smell is gone. If you don’t do these steps, your food and house will smell and taste like doodoo. So do do these things so you don’t have a bad time, OK? Edit: why is there a plastic burning smell? Probably coatings on the parts or plastic particles within the machine. It hasn’t been heated before, so run this “cleaning” cycle or else you’ll have a bad time!!!
