The La Crosse Color Wireless Forecast Station is absolutely the best indoor/outdoor weather unit I've used. The display is gorgeous and easy to view and understand, and wireless connectivity to the remote sensor is 100% reliable. Other units have had trouble staying connected to the remote sensor, even when placed 10-20 feet away. The La Cross forecast station displays a signal strength meter for the remote sensor, and so far I've not seen it drop below five (out of five) bars. A quick word on packaging. The the unit is shipped by La Crosse using one of the most elegant, easiest to open, and thoroughly complete designs I've ever received from Amazon. After slicing four pieces of tape, the box unfolds/unrolls from the top and bottom, with the weather station screwed into the back of the sturdy cardboard box. The box contains an AC power supply, five Duracell batteries for the remote sensor and as a backup for the main unit, and clearly written instructions. I can't say enough good things about this item. For the price -- or possibly for any price -- the La Crosse Color Wireless Forecast Station is unconditionally the best. Highly recommended.
