I live in Arizona and was taking a cruise to Alaska so I needed waterproof boots for the rain. The first day it rained 2 inches and the second day about the same. Since we paid for outdoor excursions not going because of the rain was not an option. The boots kept my feet warm and dry both days. In addition I walked several miles in the boots and they were very comfortable even though I never broke them in before the trip. If you plan on wearing heavy socks I would recommend going up one size or they’ll probably be too small.
