I bought these earplugs because they WON'T block out everything. That was the point for me. I work at a child care center that allows the children to play outside in the morning. With 10 plus children in a rather small space it can get LOUD even being outdoors. I dislike telling the kids to quite down, after all they are children and they're allowed to have fun and make noise. I wanted something that would dampen the sound but, not take it completely away. These 25 decibel ear plugs do just that. Very pleased with my purchase. If you want something that cancels out more noise check out loops other earplugs.
