I've had this bag for a few weeks now because I wanted to see how it held up before giving my review. Let me start with my initial reaction to the bag. Even though the description states that the shell is made from 100% crinkle nylon and the Lining: 100% polyester, I still didn't expect what I got. I wasn't sure I would even like it because I honestly wasn't a big fan of the texture/feel, but I thought, what the heck...give it a shot. When I opened the bag initially, I was struck with a strong chemical odor. Luckily, the odor dissipated within a day. I definitely suggest airing it out before you put anything in it. Now...all that said...I absolutely now LOVE this bag!!! It's durable and lightweight. It isn't described as water proof, but due to the material, I would definitely say it's water resistant! The inside has more of a plastic-type feel (almost like the inside of a soft lunch cooler/bag). I imagine you could even use one of the compartments to carry your lunch. Speaking of the compartments...oh my gosh...there's SO MUCH ROOM!!! There's one main zippered compartment with a back wall zip pocket. And the zippers are large mouth and VERY strong/durable. There are so many pockets in this thing! One full-length front zip pocket, three pockets on the one side for your cell phone or keys or pens, and one large back zip pocket. The large adjustable shoulder strap allows you to wear the bag over your shoulder or as a cross body and it's cushioned and VERY COMFORTABLE! I'm really, really pleased! I take it with me to and from work daily and it carries all my essentials and more!! Mine was in red and I even got one for my daughter in teal. The colors are vibrant and the bag truly is a must-have! Despite my initial concerns, I really think this bag is a great find! I depend heavily on other Amazon reviews in making my purchases.
