This item was packed inI a fitted in Styrofoam case and would have to been crushed in order to break it. The decanter is well made and of high quality. It also comes with a life time warranty. Two days after receiving it I received an email asking me if the decanter arrived undamaged and if I was satisfied and reminded of the lifetime warranty and the need to register for it. The email contained an attachment with cleaning instructions and care tips. I used it for the first time today and am very happy with it. Based on this experience I would purchase other Upper Echelon products.
