This is a surprisingly well-designed photography lighting system. It won't sync with your speed lights or flash but it would make a fine system for those that would like to use lighting that is constant. The tripods are sturdier than many that I have seen in lighting kits and that's a plus when you want to travel with these or set them up so that they don't fall. Setting up the shells of the lightboxes may be daunting for some but it's just like setting up a tent. Take the 4 nylon poles and put one in each corner of the soft box, it takes a little effort and you may feel like you are going to break them, but you won't. The light has a warm and cool setting with a dimmer switch for measured lighting. The diffusion fabric is easy to put on and remove. A little cumbersome for portability but that goes away with practice. If you're trying set up a studio for yourself, LED lighting is a modern advantage that doesn't produce much heat.
