I have tried a lot of drugstore eyeliner pens. When they first came out, I loved even the worst of them because for once I didn't have to spend my morning's with black tears rolling down my cheeks as my shaky hands doused my eyes in liquid liner.
Marks on my hand are made in the same order as the pens pictured: Maybelline, Revlon 3 Edge, Revlon Classic, Revlon Ballpoint, Loreal, and Physicians Formula.
Out of all of those, the Maybelline is the darkest, thinnest, and appears to have the most staying power. (I ran water over all of them, then dragged my finger across).
Hands down, the Maybelline delivers the best cat eye/winged look because of how thin the brush is. All others are too thick so without extra precaution, I end up with blocks as opposed to a curved line on the corners of my eyes.
Still, it's length and thinness can make it more difficult to control, so for me and my shaky hands I prefer to use the Revlon classic or something similar to line my eyes. Then I turn to this for the winged look.
