I bought two of these for my kids bunk beds. I figure if they last 5-7 years I will have more than gotten my money's worth out of them. Like everyone else I was a little skeptical about these things. I was half expecting them to be glorified air mattresses. Well let me put your worries to rest. These are NOT air mattresses. These are real, springs-and-everything, mattresses. My kids love them. My mother-in-law has told me that she thought they were very comfortable to sleep on and I have even spent a night or two in them myself when the kids were sick. My official opinion: not bad at all. Not it does not match the quality of my 15 inch deep pillow-top mattress on my king sized bed, but it never claimed to. My advice is to buy it. Update Feb. 2019 I have 3 of these now and they are all still going strong. These are well "loved" children's mattresses and are climbed and jumped on often. I have spent a few dozen nights in each one when the kids were sick, and they are still just as comfortable as ever. A very good purchase.
