I was starting to think this mouse thought he was part of the family! I have 4 cats and a dog and they didn't notice him. My husband set a regular mouse trap and it was a violent death with lots of blood. He laughed at the idea of a humane trap, but I ordered them anyway. I set them up yesterday, and this morning there was a little mouse inside the trap. We looked at each other, and then I picked up the trap and took it far from the house and let him go. I feel better about doing it this way. Thank you! UPDATED: I have 4 with more on the way. I had no idea we had so many mice! One thing to be careful of, when cleaning the trap, there is a little spring on the inside center (that I couldn't see). I ruined two of the traps when I vigorously cleaned and the little spring popped out. ALSO: Instead of peanut butter, which is messy, I've been putting a few peanuts in the little container, and a piece of dog food in the back end of the open part where they go in. They seem to like that combo. Anyway, it's easier to clean than the peanut butter was.
