I've owned this knife for more than a year now, so let me tell you about it. It's heavy! It's well balanced though so if you don't mind a heavy knife, it's kind of nice. The pinch-grip feels really good in your hand. Without a "ricasso" or heel, it takes time to find the blades end. I spent many months learning where the blade ends so I don't slam my knuckles. The shape is... weird. Compared to any other knife, this shape is just off. The angle curves too fast for how short of a knife this is. Julienning onions or thin slicing garlic can be annoying because of the weight and shape. A Shun is much easier for these tasks. It's very pretty!!! It came very sharp and stayed sharp for months of hard, everyday use!!! It's a unique piece of art and I do not regret buying it. Other people in the kitchen that go to grab your blade immediately back off in a sense, because the blade is truly an odd one and people that aren't use to it won't feel comfortable holding it. If I could do it all over again, I'd just get a shun. It's about the same price and way better of a knife, but man, I do not regret owning this blade.
