Have only used this new press a couple of times but already love it. I have used a glass press for over a decade. It seemed like no matter how careful I was my glass ones would get cracked or broken. Also, I had always been unhappy with how quickly my coffee got cold my glass press but just lived with it. When my latest glass press cracked I decided to try this stainless steel version and I will never own a glass press again. Having said that, the quality of this stainless steel press makes me think I will never need another press! I love the look and feel of it, I love that the double wall insulation keeps the coffee warm longer than my glass ones and I love how easily the stainless steel cleans up. To be honest, I don't think I will ever use the included coffee bean canister but I'm sure I can find some other use for it. Amazon won't let me give it a 4.5 rating so I just clicked on 4 but the only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I wish it had measuring markings on it. Having said that, my expensive glass press didn't have measuring marks either. It won't take long to learn how much water to use for making coffee the way I like it(without measuring). I'm sure some people will complain that it is harder than most to actually press down the screen but personally I don't mind because it just means that it is doing a great job of preventing coffee grinds from getting through. I can't believe this thing doesn't cost more. Highly recommend it. Hope this review helps.
