I found precut stove mats for $50. A nice product, but out of my budget. Decided to try cutting one of these oven mats myself. Placed mat on top of burners, ran my fingernail around the edge of each burner, while holding mat very still, to make an outline of where to cut the holes. Cut with a small pair of scissors, just a tiny bit bigger than each scratched outline. Worked great. Now I can carry the mat to the sink and I’m not smearing a mess on the stove. So for $12, I can make 2 mats, at $6 each. Or, use the other mat for the oven. Either way, a good product and cost savings. Now I won’t cringe when hubby wants to cook breakfast on high setting. Easy clean up! Glad I ordered
