So far so good. After receiving the system and buying network cables, I connected it all together and things just worked. I had read some concerning reviews about the difficulty of getting the cameras talking but it was painless for me. Just follow the instructions and the cameras are discovered and start talking. I did all of this with everything just laying in my office. I live in Tx and its been too hot to get up in the attic to run cables. Now that its cooling off, I've started that work and will have some more data about mounting the cameras and adjusting their view. I've been pleased so far and will update this review once its completely installed and I've gotten the web access working. Couple of things that I do want to comment on. 1) the cameras are bigger that I was thinking. They also appear to be very solid construction and have fair amount of weight. 2) the cameras switch between camera and IR mode very nicely when light turns to dark and vice versa. 3) POE switch has a fan on the box. This fan is pretty noisy. My home office has several desktop and laptop computers as well as networking gear. The noise level was pretty low though and with the POE switch powered on the noise level jumps up considerably.
