There's a ton of variety in this cookbook, it would be hard not to find some new things that your family will like. With that said, it is more bare bones as far as cookbooks go. It has no pictures inside, each recipe just has the ingredients and simple directions listed. However, most things are very straightforward to make and use ingredients found in most grocery stores. About 5% of the recipes have ingredients that are harder to find- but they also allow you to sample new things. There's a section specifically for vegetarians, which is also nice.
