OK I bought this in a fit of panic. I am fair skinned, early 40's, and always been told I had had fairly great skin, since I am careful about sunscreen, have used ROC Retin A for years and don't tan, but lately I have been noticing that the wear was really starting to show in my face in ruddiness, sagging, redness, fine lines and a tired look. I didn't want to do botox, not my scene, and I was kind of scared of IPL or lasers, since the $150 I could afford for it meant it would not be performed by a Board certified lisenced plastic surgeon.... so.... I ordered this on semi- impulse, after some research, then immediately felt like a vain ass. The customer service is NOT very communicative. It took them several weeks to ship, and they did not offer tracking info until I bugged them for it. When I use it, it makes me feel like an insane vain person as if I am Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard. The lights are bright and it tales a long time to do my whole face. I would DEFINITELY recommend using protective eyewear like the kind for sunbeds, to protect your eyes. The treatment area is large, so its awkward on my nose, for example. I block off the extra light as best I can with cloth and my hands, but its rather inconvenient. You can sort of read or sort of watch a movie while using it, you can surf the net with it, do emails, I bet lame TV would be good with it, but anything else is kind of a no go. BUT.... It works. I have used it 6 times, with all 3 lights. Apparently its best to use the red first, then the green, so I use blue after. I used it 3X the first week 2 days apart, skipped 5 days because of my crazy work schedule, then used 2X this week, 5 days apart Anyways I noticed a difference after my second use. green light: I used the green light on an age spot that I had on my chest, and it is fading- slowly, but noticibly. It's not gone all the way but I expect it will be soon. My fair skin is getting very even toned and just radiant. A lot of the facial blotchiness I had is leaving. I feel like I can use less makeup now. red light : I have seen my forehead wrinkles and the line between my eyebrows lessen considerably. Like 3-4 years taken off. I am not seeing so much change in the lines around my eyes, but perhaps it will take more time. I have been using on my jawline and I see an improved jawline, less sagging. It is subtle, probably others would not notice it, but I notice it. I have some broken capillaries but they are not changing so far, if they do I will update. Overall my face is starting to look plumper and more youthful. Blue light- I have dry skin so its not much of an issue for me, but I had the occasional hormonal pimple and my pores were getting larger with age. But wow the blue light works on the pores so they become invisible. Hormonal breakouts are ZAPPED. If I had oily skin this would be great. So- yes I felt vain and crazy using it, and yes the changes are subtle, probably others would not notice them- yet. But I know I look better and I am curious to see how it will work over more time. The results persist, like I didn't do it for 5 days, but the results lasted. I will update later if I get more action from it. I am not giving it 5 stars since the customer service is so bad, and I haven't had it for long enough to get super dramatic results. Like right now I'd say I feel better its a nice personal thing, Its definitely boosting my confidence, I think its taken like 2 years off so far but no one else is telling me I look amazing. If I can remove my age spot with it, and I see more facial improvements over time, i will revisit this review and let you know. ALSO FYI I don't use product on my face when I use it, just bare clean skin, I do use a vitamin C serum after and ROC Retin A on days I don't use it and had no ill effects,I actually feel like they all enhance each other.
