Opening the package, I noticed pale yet satisfyingly large chucks of what were once fluffy buttermilk biscuits. Dried-up little balls of pork patty accompanied by gravy powder were hiding underneath the biscuits. Everything smelled like croutons. I poured my boiling 1 and 3/4 cups of water into the pouch and sealed it up. The pouch then began to hunch over as if it had stomach cramps. Everything started to congeal. After opening the pouch, I could have sworn someone dumped my mom's biscuits and gravy in place of the once crouton-looking mound. Absolutely delicious. Anyone could serve this to me and I'd never know it was freeze dried. Do not hesitate to buy a couple pouches and store them in your center console like I am.
