So, I've been looking for a good portable battery for my Nintendo Switch, but it's been hard because up until now there have only been 2 power delivery batteries on the market. One was the Razer, which was like $150 and only 12,000mAh, and the other was the RAVPower which was same size as this. Most people have been opting for the latter but there's one small problem- only delivers power delivery charge if you plug it in while Switch is in sleep mode. A small niggle, but a hassle I don't want to deal with. So I waited, knowing this was coming, and I'm so glad I did. This battery delivers the full 18 watts Switch can take from PD (despite a 39W official charger, Switch tops off at 7.5W with USB-A, 10W with USB-C and 18W with USB-C PD, with a peak power draw of around 8.7W). That's actually slightly faster than the official charger which usually averages around 17W (keep in mind this is undocked- only the official charger works when docked). On average, I was getting around 4% charge every 5 minutes, all while playing Zelda with full brightness and wifi on. That's... extraordinary. No "put in sleep mode to recognize" nonsense. It just works. I also tested the wall charger which is included, and I can confirm that it does also work just as well for Switch. That may not sound impressive but I bought a few power delivery wall chargers to test and a few of them actually didn't deliver full Power Delivery with Switch for whatever reason. Bottom line- this is currently the best portable battery you can buy for the Nintendo Switch. It's kinda big, but still fits in my case, charges faster than the official charger and has enough power to play Zelda or Mario Kart for nearly 24 hrs straight. Can't ask for more than that.
