Buy it! I went by the recommendations here, bought it, and am a very satisfied customer after the assembly and the first use. I have attached pictures as I assembled the vacuum and the dirt it collected after its first use. The vacuum is very thoughtfully designed. None of the parts feel cheap, and things snap into place firmly as you put the various parts together. There are five levels off the floor that the vacuum can be adjusted at for best performance from bare floor to various kinds of carpet. This is particularly helpful if you move apartments once in a while or have different kinds of floor (wood, tiles, carpet) in the same house. The vacuum came very well-packaged; it came in the original packaging by BISSELL and wasn't repackaged with brown box as Amazon usually does. It has a sturdy build and seems built to last. The multi-cyclonic suction system (whatever that is) works wonders for picking up dust and dirt of various sizes - from very fine dust that is very common in Pittsburgh in all homes to the larger pieces of paper, food, and cat hair. The vacuum comes with three additional suction tools that can be operated by hand by connecting them to the extension wand - 1) crevice tool to get into corners, 2) turbo brush to clean surfaces like sofa, tables, etc. conveniently, and 3) oval brush which I am guessing is for softer surfaces where you want to do the brushing and dirt removal yourself and want suction to just pick up the dirt. The turbo brush has a very similar design to the brush at the bottom front of the vacuum, and is almost a miniature version of the latter. Considering how good the vacuum's brush is at picking up dirt, I think turbo brush will be just as good with surfaces as the vacuum is on the floor. The vacuum is slightly heavy, and senior citizens might have difficulty lugging it across stairs. But, for my uses, this vacuum is perfect! Buy this one. I have tried three Dare Devils, one Shark, and one Eureka, and this pretty much is the best combination of suction power and features that money can buy. The first two pictures show how much dirt the vacuum pulled out within 10 minutes of vacuuming our living room. Other reviews have similar pictures that attest to the effectiveness of this cleaning juggernaut.
