The item performed as described. This was just the type of TV bracket I was looking for for my outdoor entertainment area. I will qualify nowhere in the description it did not recommend outdoor use. However, I am using this in a protected area somewhat. I needed a bracket that was automated because of the elevation I wanted to mount the TV and I needed the bracket to position the TV as close to the ceiling as possible. This bracket satisfied both of my requirements and functions very smooth. It does take approximately one minute or so to position the TV in the viewing position, which is no issue for me. The one CON is the functionality of the remote. The remote works well however, it would be nice to have a button that is marked up and a button that for down and performs the task as marked. It's not an issue for me as I installed the unit but when other users that are not familiar pick up the remote it is rather complicated.
