I have neck and upper back injuries and I have dreaded buying a mattress for years.
Well, I've been sleeping on the 12" hybrid mattress and love it. I paid over $2000 for Posturepedic years ago, only to discover I slept like crap on it and it made my bad shoulder hurt even worse. So... I've been leary to buy another mattress. I've been looking at and reading reviews for a couple years now for mattresses like Casper, Purple, Sleep Number etc. Some people like them, some don't. I remember when I bought the Posturepedic mattress that I tried out one mattress that had individual coils (it may have been a Simmons, can't remember) and wished I had bought that one because it felt best to me. My, now ex, insisted on the Posturepedic, so I hope she hates the thing now. ;) Anyway, when I saw that this one had individual coils in addition to the different foams. I ordered one in less than an hour. SPOILER ALERT! The thing is over 100 pounds and the box size makes it a bit difficult to carry by yourself. Just an FYI on that. Besides that... I had no smell of fresh foam. And I honestly look forward to getting in bed at night. I really couldn't be happier. I prefer a firmer mattress over soft and cut the pillow top off my last mattress that was given to me. I find this mattress gives my plenty of support and yet it is still comfy. It's kinda like sleeping on a feather bed but with plenty of support. I've read that different weight people have different experiences on foam mattress, so another FYI... I'm a 54 year old guy. 5'9"and 170 lbs. I have a neck and upper back injury from two years ago that has me taking 3 muscle relaxers and 8 tramadol a day just to be able to work. So far, this mattress has helped instead of making things worse. Seriously! This is a really big deal to me! I've been putting a purchase off for years and I'm so glad my worries appear to be finally over.
