What Tru Niagen Says re: the "Cancer" concerns (there are none):
First of all, I am noticing so many amazing results after only a few months taking 300 mg/day of Tru Niagen. Better sleep (I am sleeping deeply through the night after YEARS of struggling with no sleep and resorting to Ambien, melatonin, or lying awake heart pounding, etc.), glowing skin, shiny hair, to name a few improvements! I contacted Tru Niagen to ask about the concerns being voiced about NR and safety. This is the reply I received: "First, you should know that Tru Niagen (featuring patented nicotinamide riboside or NR) is safe. It has been reviewed and accepted by regulators in different markets around the world and studied in 21 (and counting) peer-reviewed, published clinical studies, with no adverse effects. And it has been successfully reviewed by the United States FDA an unprecedented three times and authorized by Health Canada, the European Commission and others. A highly misleading press release was issued by the University of Missouri regarding a small mouse study by Maric et al. 2022 and was picked up by numerous news outlets due to its bombastic and sensationalist headline. It created the false impression that there was a link between NR and cancer. In fact, previously published studies have shown that NR supplementation has a beneficial effect in mouse models on cancer or related symptoms (e.g., chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy). Further, Carles Canto, one of the study’s co-authors and leading global NAD+ researcher has tweeted a response to the conclusions drawn from the study he in fact took part in. Below is a screenshot of his tweet for reference:" [The photo of his tweet did not copy for my Amazon review for some reason. Look it up!} "We have contacted the University of Missouri and asked them to fully retract the press release and issue a clarification. If you have further questions, please contact our Tru Niagen customer service team at customercare@truniagen.com. Please note, Tru Niagen is a dietary supplement to be used as recommended and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease or illness. We recommend consulting your healthcare practitioner if you have any additional questions specific to your healthcare."
