Ive never written a review for a product before, so bear with me! I’ve had osteo-arthritis since my early 30’s after injuring my back. I’ve had mattress, pillow, and sleeping issues ever since. Within the past year my neck began acting up. Vertebrae would get “stuck” on one another causing me to be unable to turn my head, sometimes for long periods of time, making work, driving, and sleeping painful. After the last flare up I decided I needed to get a new pillow. I’ve tried sooooo many pillows which now line the shelves of my bedroom closet, barely ever used. I was VERY hesitant to try the Coop Home Goods line because I lasted less than five minutes on a My Pillow—much too lofty—and because of the cost. When I began researching adjustable memory foam pillows, I eventually came across Coop and was inspired at the thought of being able to remove (or add) loft! I watched every video, read every review, but somehow never found Coop Home Goods actual site, but knew Amazon would have them. I eventually settled on the standard Eden. My mother ordered it for my 50th birthday gift (how apropos) a few weeks ago, and I’ve now been sleeping on it for roughly three weeks. Here’s what I think: I LOVE that I was able to remove the foam. I removed two gallon sized freezer bags full of foam (so far). I still move the filling around to try and get it just where I want it, fluff it, etc. The pillow is SO comfortable. I can’t really compare it to anything. It’s not like a down or like a feather pillow (I’ve often used combos of the two so I could smash my pillow up and stuff it under my neck). It’s not too high, or too low now. And the bamboo case it comes with is nice and soft. PLUS the free water-resistant, mite-proof case you send away for (it’s free! DO IT!) is also really comfy and now I don’t worry about ruining the case it came in! (Thanks Coop Home Goods!) It’s truly perfectly comfortable. (Five star review for comfort.) Now, for support, it’s a little harder to explain. The best way to say it is depending on how I’m lying (usually my back), I wake up feeling that my neck is perfectly supported and aligned. I don’t feel like I have to use muscles to keep my head in a certain position to remain aligned. But when I’m on my side, I DO feel like I’m experiencing muscle strain. I even tried to move the foam so that it would be thicker in the areas I’d use when lying on my side so it would offer more support. So at times I do kind of scrunch bit up under my head when lying on my side. (Hence the one star review for support). As for the value for the money, I think the pillows are very well made. High quality, and it seems they spent time in Research and Development before they put it out on the market. Because of th extra foam they send, plus the two gallon bags I removed, I was able to make another (almost standard size, just not as fluffy) for my daughter who has scoliosis and her curvature is 3degrees away from when they typically begin doing surgery. And she LOVES IT. I just need to see if I can order another water resistant case for it. My only suggestion to you is, if you’re REALLY hesitant, the manufacturer offers a 100 night sleep trial vs. Amazon’s 30 day return.
