I anxiously awaited the arrival of my new mattress having to wait for the refund on my previous mattress. This is the second brand of a “mattress in box” I have owned. My first mattress didn’t relax to give it that comfort quality. The surface always felt hard, for 12 months. I had slept on a TemperPedic off and on for about 4 months, so I knew that wasn’t the answer. Yet I didn’t want to go back to a mattress made of springs. That is when I discovered the hybrid mattress. A hybrid mattress, as I’ve seen in my research, is about half springs and half foams. Again, according to my research, the larger the holes are in the foam, the cooler it sleeps but the less support it gives. I decided on this mattress because of the individually wrapped springs, with a layer of support foam (solid), then a more moldable foam and finally a thinner layer of the foam with big holes. I like sleeping cooler. I have had my mattress for about ten days. It was light enough and folded well so I was able to unbox and arrange it myself. I would recommend two people unbox the mattress but this was not an option for me. I loved the comfortable feel the first time I laid on it. According to the directions, there is a 72 hour waiting period before sleeping on it. I slept on a padded board waiting for it to get here so there was no way I was waiting one more night to sleep on a mattress. I felt changes in the mattress over the next few nights but sleeping on it early doesn’t seem to have hurt anything. I love the way the bed supports me body. It is comfortable. It is not like complete memory foam was for me. I felt hot, and sunk into the mattress even though I weighed a little less than I do now. It is the full Queen size it should be; the previous mattress was not. The price is excellent, about half of what I paid for the one I got rid of. If there is a change I will update my post but for now, I am sleeping pretty.
