Once kitty finally discovered this perch, it's been his primary sleeping spot. It looks nice and feels sturdy and the price was right. Here is a little advice for installing. I used the screw-in method (as opposed to the self-adhesive Velcro option), and made a mistake. I placed the top plastic frame flush against the window, got it all perfectly and securely screwed into the windowsill, legs perfectly positioned, ready to add foam cushion and cover. Then I realized I could not put on the fleece cover because there was no space between the plastic frame and the window to tuck in the cover on that side. I wound up having to re-do the installation moving forward about 3/4 of an inch so as to give room for applying the fleece cover all the way around, and also had to re-position the "legs." So, the moral of the story is, don't install the top frame (the part that holds the cushion) too close against the window side. One more thing, from the Amazon online image I thought the "legs" were made of wood, but they are not. They are ivory plastic. Also, there is a rubber company logo tag permanently sewn to the fleece cover. I am not too picky about that, but some people might be, so I thought I'd mention it.
