Overall a solid product, and I am happy I bought it. The lights are very bright and illuminate a broad area very well. The batteries are powerful enough to provide a charge overnight when used with the motion detector. I bought these to provide lighting along a path for my wife, who leaves early each morning for work. The solar panels on the units get direct sunlight about 1/3 of the day, but this is enough to have them shining brightly in the morning, even after a cloudy day. Two small caveats. First, the motion detector does not activate the lights until a person is fairly close to them - maybe 3-4 yards. This is inside the cone of light the units provide. It would be better if this were triggered from a little farther away. Second, and more importantly, the unit has different settings, but it isn't clear what these are, and there is no way to know what setting you are on without charging the light and then taking it into a dark place. Best I can tell, there are two settings: off and on w/motion detection. Further, the button that toggles the setting is behind the light and is covered when the light is installed. This meant I had to remove each light to get the setting right and then reinstall. Still, that was a minor inconvenience for a light that does exactly what it should, very well.
