My husband, a diabetic, sustained a terrible MRSA infection on his second toe. He was in the VA hospital for 15 days on nearly constant IV antibiotics. The wound care nurses were terrific, and when he finally was able to come home, I dressed his toe/foot as instructed. A week later we saw his podiatrist and we discussed using Medihoney rather than the antibiotic cream they had sent him home with. I had ordered a tube of Medihoney Gel a couple of months prior for another purpose, so had it on hand. The doctor said he'd highly recommend the Medihoney, but the VA couldn't get it??????????? Amazing, that something so miraculous can't be procured for this facility. In any case, I began using it on his toe the very next morning and, within days, it was already healing! The doctor, on the next visit, was extremely impressed with the healing. I cannot tell you how magical this ointment is, but it is truly a medical miracle. If we could give it 10 stars, we would without hesitation!
