I wish the USB-C could have been the host cord, instead of the micro usb.
I'm assuming that since lightning and c are both omni directional, that the uni directional usb micro had to be used as the primary. Or it's just what they decided to use since they had all these micro usb heads laying around, whatever the case, the cord works flawlessly for android auto and apple car play, which was why I bought them. My personal phone is android and my work phone is iphone, so I can use either without swapping the cord!
